Hot Rolled Pickled and Oiled steel is recommended for applications that require a clean, uniform surface and good flatness.
The pickling process removes the black oxide scale that forms on the steel after hot rolling. Typically an oil film is applied after pickling to guard against rust.
Typical applications that use pickled and oiled material include racking systems, automotive parts and agricultural equipment.
